Intertextuality is the representation of one form of media text referenced in another form of media. In the music video there are many references in the video which shaped the video. For example, the music video has a fantasy element in it with the artist turning into animals and into thin air. Another example of this is at the start of the music video when the artist throw a coin into a homeless mans pot to collect change, the pot then starts to glow and then the homeless man suddenly changes into a white suit. This isn't something that is normal to happen, showing that it is a fantasy element to the music video. Another example of showing intertexuality is the detective character being stereotyped by the choice of how to represent the character.
