Lesson 8 - Chicken Funding - Independent films have a low budget and are funding by small production studios or the BFI/National lottery, Chicken didn't have this luxury - He couldn't get funding from the BFI or National lottery as they weren't interesting in the film. Lesson 4  Oh Comely differs from other typical female magazines by the limited amount of series produced. The other mainstream newspaper produce newspapers every day with an incite on celebrities and main focus points such as TV, movies, gossip etc wheres Oh Comely focuses on 'reduced stress and being mindful'. Oh comely aims are different to others by releasing less than others gives time for Oh to write stories in depth compared to the other newspapers with less of a meaning behind the articles. Compared to heat, which influences women to gossip and 'be skinny'.  Oh Comely's aims compared to Men's Health differ to due to the different genders. Lesson 3  Comparing Men's Health and Oh Comely  Men's Health is clearly aimed at Men hence the title of the magazine yet the font used is more masculine compared to oh Comely. The font is basic and bold, which could have been used to indicate that men need to be attracted to something bold to pay attention, something like Oh Comely's font wouldn't interest the male audience due to how soft and bland it is, it isn't bold it's more natural something done as it is a them of Oh Comely to have thing natural. The font color as well is bright and dark blue, colors commonly associated with males. The cover lines are similar in the way that they are both sort and snappy yet Men's health seems to be more aggressive compared to Oh Comely. In all caps ' BLAST BODY FAT' is eye catching to males as it is bold, short and something of interest to the audience as well. However both of the magazine's models are in the center of the magazine showing focus...

Lesson 2  Analyse the cover...  Reference/identify the target audience as well as how the magazine has created to appeal to them.  Oh comely:  - Teenage female in the center of the magazine, shows the target audience - Bland and natural colors, a normal theme for this magazines  - Basic cover line, only one cover line, shows that the issue of the magazine will be focusing on this subject - Facial expression on the model could be a reaction to the cover line, being confused and unsure, this could then relate to how the audience for the target audience is feeling - £5, working to then afford the magazine, quite a pricey magazine. High price could mean that it is being released every other month making, giving it a reason to be more pricey than other magazines -
